This was one of my favorite hikes. I had never explored this area of Idaho and the Pioneer Mountains even though I had driven by many times on my way over to Mt. Borah. The day I hiked was magical. The only other person I encountered was at the trailhead. I had the trail to myself, my own private Idaho. I was hoping to get some fall color photography but it had snowed the night before and made for a spectacular outing and incredible photo opportunities.
