This was a trip that I took with my wife to Crater Lake Oregon.  You can’t camp at Crater Lake but you can camp nearby at Diamond Lake.  We went on this trip at the end of June 2013.  Mosquitoes were thick as could be but the sunsets were beautiful.  Mt Thielsen is visible from the lake and has a unique topography. It’s also home to the southernmost glacier in Oregon.  We didn’t hike it but many people do.  While the focus of our trip was more Crater lake, this is a campground we will come back and explore more in the future.
