This was one of my favorite hikes. I had never explored this area of Idaho and the Pioneer Mountains even though I had driven by many times on my way over to Mt. Borah. The day I hiked was magical. The only other person I encountered was at the trailhead.

To celebrate the 4th of July, I took my wife on a hike to Jennie Lake. She had never been there before but had always heard wonderful things about it. She wasn’t disappointed. Luckily for us, the wild flowers were blooming and the hillsides were full of flowers. A wild
